Being in Partnership

It's February and the shops are full of Valentines cards, red roses and chocolates. Two is the number of partnership so its appropriate that we celebrate romance in the second month of the year.

A relationship is far more than the fairy tale twosome of 'happy ever after'. It's about our ability and willingness to share ourself with another. And that can be really difficult if you've been hurt badly. No wonder that so many of us are independent people who like being in control and doing everything their way.

However partnering is the energy that is essential if you are to live your soul purpose. For along the path to fulfilling your sacred promise will come all the traps, pitfalls and problems that- if you're on your own - can 'take you out'. It's why stress is a number one killer. It comes from taking the world on your shoulders and trying to do everything on your own.

If you resist being in a relationship - with a partner - a friend - a team - then you are living life the hard way.

Partnership is a balance of the masculine and feminine.The masculine is the creative active principle, the feminine is the ability to receive. In a romantic relationships it brings intimacy. In business it leads the path forward into co-creativity.

Are you in partnership?
What I mean by this question is partnership with a higher force than gravity- with God, Heaven, The Creator or The Higher Mind.

The ego - that part of us that wants us to believe we are separate and keeps us in a state of fear, guilt and scarcity - tries its hardest to stop us from going into this place of relationship, of success and happiness.

The only way to get through the dragons and demons of the unconscious is to be in partnership with the higher mind and allow Grace to pour through. The battles between good and evil can only be conquered this way. That's what I reckon is meant by 'May the force be with you' the famous words given to Luke Skywalker in 'Star Wars'.

Make this a month of letting go and stepping into partnership
Letting go of the past, of a relationship or a business that's failed is one of the hardest lessons to do alone. Yet many of us try.

If you aren't succeeding in your life at the moment it could be that you are holding onto someone who has died.
I've just returned from my annual training in India with my fellow Psychology of Vision trainers from the world - over 80 of us. On Day 8 I was chosen by random to be the focus person. 8 is the number of abundance. I shared about some recent events in my life which had reminded me of the death of my father some 16 years ago. My process card was tantrum.

According to the Psychology of Vision model a tantrum is a choice in which we react, complain, withdraw or hurt ourselves when life does not come about as we consciously want. It can show itself as any form of failure, immaturity or lack of success.

The principle is that if someone dies and we are still holding onto them we can get into a tantrum which leads to our not moving forward. Death is really about the birth of a new self. The ego does not want that, so the resistance is huge.

The gifts the Universe wanted me to receive were Creativity and Fun, Openness and the tarot card Justice (the Libran card which is all about being in balance and partnership).

So I invite you to reflect on whether or not you might just be having a grown up tantrum if life isn't going according to Your Plan!

It's never too late to be happy
I spoke to a client last week who has finally let go of her guilt around the death of her husband. Her story was that she had divorced him and soon after he had died. Over a few months she attended two workshops and had some coaching with me. By her willingness to feel her pain and sadness and to forgive herself she released her guilt and was free. She had many psychic gifts that wanted to open up. She's just met up with a very nice man through a dating site on the Internet. She is a beautiful woman who just happens to be over 60.

It's by giving our plan over to Heaven and embracing partnership with our Higher Mind that we can move forward and embrace all the gifts that want to be given to us.

As the saying goes:- "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."

The theme that is emerging for this workshop is one of creativity. In my pre-workshop coaching sessions I have been inspired to ask participants to choose Aura-Soma colour tarot cards.

The colours that have been chosen are predominantly red and violet/magenta- the opposite ends of the spectrum. Red is passion, groundedness and also anger. It represents the birth of a new self. Violet is healing but also loneliness and grief. It represents being of service to humanity. Magenta is the colour before birth and is linked to the ancestors especially the grandmothers. It is God The Mother and Divine Love.

As the Hopi Indians say "When the grandmothers speak, the world will heal".

The spiritual path can feel like a lonely one and isolation is not the best way for happiness. To live our purpose we need to connect with others who are on the same path.

If colour is your passion then this workshop will appeal to you. I will be using a variety of oracle cards to answer the questions our souls are waiting for. I will work with Chuck Spezzano's Archetype and Shadow deck in the processes to discover what holds us back and what we need to embrace to manifest our vision.
