Birthing Your Vision

This month my newsletter focuses on birthing our vision. This time of year the earth starts to awaken and there is a definite smell in the air of newness and hope.

As an astrologer birth is my specialist subject. I study birth charts every day. I am looking at understanding what it must be like to walk in someone else's shoes and to comprehend what they have come to work with in this life.

Our birth process is repeated every time we start something new. This starts with conception. If we have initiated it then usually it's something we are excited about. But what if there is no conception? What if you are stuck before you begin?

What is my vision?
The pressure to have a vision, a sense of purpose and to come up with a blank can be really frustrating. Since last October I have struggled to come up with a topic to speak at a prestigious Vedic Astrology International Conference in April 2007. Try as I might I couldn't find a topic that I wanted to research and felt confident that I could handle. Coming from the western background I felt rather small and inadequate next to my illustrious fellow speakers. My ego was using its best weapons and a strong part of me just wanted to cancel. But that would be letting myself and many others down.

The idea birthed itself. I had volunteered to give an astrology talk on the Equinox, the start of the astrological new year, for the local group. The day after it the obvious topic for my Vedic talk fell into my lap. Mars -Spiritual Warrior (ruler of Aries). And to research Mars I immerse myself in it's energy- to become it -direct and action orientated.

I relate this story to you to encourage you to be patient and most importantly -trust in your process.

I had a client who wanted a baby.
My coaching is always about clearing what stands in the way. It makes sense since it's the baby decides when the birth happens and so, I believe it's the baby who decides when to come in. The first step was helping her let go of her plan and letting Heaven's help in. In that place I was able to help her clear the blocks she had around conception and we traced it back to a story concerning her grandmother.

It worked. Late in 2007 she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Most of our traps, generated by guilt and fear, are attempts to block vision. If we get angry or pressurise ourself then ideas cannot come.

As Chuck Spezzano says "Any problem we are experiencing is an attempt to try to get something. This directs and determines our perception of the situation and locks us into self defeating, aggressive or defensive responses. It also blinds us to greater possibilities and the way through, which is created by greater giving and receiving."

The truth of these words was exactly what happened for me. From a place of giving (the local talk) the inspiration came. by letting go of the self attack I allowed the inspiration to come in, it was a totally natural process.

Exercise
To achieve vision you must uncover what you are passionate about.
· What would you just love to do?
· Where would you feel you are totally giving your heart?
· What is it you want to leave behind after your death?
· What would you like your legacy for the world to be?
· What would you be thrilled to do?
· What adventure would call you to venture yourself fully?

Give yourself for a couple of weeks or months to everyone and everything around you. By doing this you can achieve a state of vision. I ask that you give this a try. No harm can come of it,  plus it might just work!

Chuck Spezzano says:"Vision can be achieved through fasting, retreat and intention as in vision quests. It is also sometimes brought about through the deepest levels of communication with another or a single intuitive leap. When the world seems open and your heart is deeply touched and you feel yourself touched while the light of transcendence shows the way forward, then you know you are experiencing vision."

Vision comes from focusing your awareness so fully outside yourself that you are no longer self conscious, self-obsessed, or self-contained. This concentration outside yourself opens you to enhanced awareness and connection, allowing you to receive the creative force of vision and to see the greater possibilities that had previously been hidden from you.

And if you want to truly focus on your vision, then come on one of my workshops, I'd love to help you on your journey,

with warmest wishes, Pam
